Zondervan: Homeschool Mom’s Bible ~ a TOS review

When I think of Bibles I immediately think of Zondervan photo niv_zps46b5b3b8.jpgwhich is well known in the Christian publishing community. Zondervan publishes many Bibles including the study Bible that I currently use. I have had my eye on their new Homeschool Mom's Bible since the Spring. However, I was hesitant to purchase another Bible because I already have one. When the opportunity to review the NIV version of the Homeschool Mom’s Bible came up I was truly blessed to be chosen.

I received a hardcover Homeschool Mom’s Bible in the NIV format which retails for $34.99. This Bible is also available in leather editions for $$49.99 and e-Bible versions for $14.99. If you prefer the King James Version it is also available in all the formats mentioned about too.

So, just what makes this Bible special besides the fact that it is THE BIBLE? Well, it is the entire Bible but it also contains 365 daily devotions specifically for the homeschooling mom and what she deals with day in and day out. The devotions are written by Janet Tatman, a veteran homeschooler of 25bible2 years. These special devotions are meant to revive, encourage, and restore the homeschool mom each and every day. This Bible also has a special Foreword written by Vickie Farris, author, homeschool mom, and wife of Michael Farris, founder of the Homeschool Legal Defense Association.

I have been using this Bible as part of my morning quiet time. I love the cover, it is bright and beautiful in a simple way. I can tell you that when I missed a morning quiet time my day would be hectic and not go as smoothly. The devotionals just seemed to be just the thing I needed to hear right at the perfect time. I have even taken this Bible with me to church and gotten a few comments on it from other homeschoolers and non-homeschoolers alike. I can say that this Bible has replaced my old Bible as my go to source. I like that it is relatively small at 8.75 x 5.75 inches and weighing in just over 2 pounds. It is small enough to slip into my big bag of everything and carry it with me for when I need a little bit of extra encouragement throughout the day.

I wholeheartedly recommend you take a look at this Bible even if you already have a favorite one of your own like I did. Like I said this Bible is meant to encourage and strengthen you, the homeschool mom, as you juggle the daily needs of caring for your home and family while also instilling faith and values into your children. With this Bible you get a helping hand. Be sure to check out what my Crewmates thought of this version, NIV, and the other version KJV, by clicking on the banner below.
