This blog is my attempt to document our busy but BLESSED lives raising and educating our children for His glory. A child of God, wife to one, and mom to 6 fabulous kids. We are in our 9th year of homeschooling using a Classical ~ Charlotte Mason approach.

Beach Day

We spent the day at the beach last week with a great bunch of friends. Our homeschool Girl Scout troop had the end of the year party at one of the local beaches. The girls were literally counting down the days. Each morning I would hear "only x days until the BEACH!!!"

To say they were excited would be an understatement. The weather was perfect, not too hot and just a slight breeze, and from what the girls tell me the water was fabulous! They had plans of frolicking in the waves, building sand castles, and just soaking up the sand with their friends.

And they did!

McKenzie wanted nothing, and I mean nothing to do with the sand or the beach. She was not a happy camper that day due to teething pain. But she does look so cute in her bathing suit.

Hopefully by August when we take our family vacation to The Outer Banks, she will have a new found appreciation for the beach.
