Over the last few weeks I have been piecing together our plans for the upcoming school year knowing that I want to be more intentional in our daily Bible studies and not simply just checking the box. Because it can be challenging to incorporate daily Bible lessons, I want to tell you about Danika Cooley's new book Help Your Kids Learn and Love the Bible from Bethany House Publishers. I’ve really looked at what is truly important in our day and made some cuts to make discipling my children priority number one.
Danika and her husband, Ed, are committed to leading their four children to life for the glory of God by studying and memorizing the Bibl. Through her award-winning curriculum, she is helping tens of thousands of parents to intentionally raise biblically literate children. Our family has used Danika’s Bible curriculum, Bible Road Trip, in the past so I was really excited to get the chance to read her new book to give me a confidence boost as we study the Bible intentionally.
The thought of studying God’s Word as a family might seem intimidating but it doesn’t have to be! Children, young and old, need to hear the truth of the Word as we navigate this world.. With 198 pages in this paperback book, the chapters are written in a friendly, conversational tone so it is an easy reading experience. The book is broken down into three parts:

You’re the Leader ~ Danika addresses common problems as to what may hinder families from reading the Bible together. She offers encouragement and helpful tips to make studying the Bible a habit.

Faithful Reading ~ This section drives home the reasons why reading the Bible is important, not just for children but for the parents too.

A Daily Walk ~ Ideas in the form of activities, memorization, and prayer help to offer was to get children to explore the Bible.

I have three adult children and three younger children spanning from just starting high school to early elementary school. Pointing my all of my children to the truth of the scripture is my greatest work and life goal. Throughout reading this book there were times when I thought, “ooh, I should have done that with the older girls”, but honestly I was in survival mode at times and I did the very best I could. I am so happy to have the opportunity to continue to instill a love of God in all of my children with the helpful tips within this book.
This book is a great resource, and I highly recommend you get a copy, especially if you have younger children. But don’t just take my word for it! 31 of my CreMates also got the chance to read this book and have shared their thoughts. You can read them by clicking the banner below.
