New cast

A new cast, finally!  Madison wore off the bottom of the blue one in 8 days and it took 3 days just to get in to see the Ortho doc.  Taking a cast off is hard work.  It involves a little saw that makes a lot of noise.

Then Madison tested out the leg after the old cast was off.  She pranced around the room saying that it felt weird to walk.

Time for the new and improved cast in day glow orange.  Madison remarked that she was going to tape a white piece of tape around the top so it looks like a traffic cone.  

13 more days until we are done with this treatment phase.

Success ~

Some people dream of success,

while others wake up and work hard at it.

Something significant took place yesterday…a stepping stone in a little girls dream.  We found out about it on Saturday afternoon and she counted the hours down until practice time.  She even wanted to leave at 130PM, when practice didn’t start until 230PM, just to be at the gym…ready.

Mikaylya, my Level 5 gymnast, was invited to train with the  Level 7/8 girls.  The Lt. and I are so excited and proud of her and all her hard work and dedication she puts in and out of the gym.

I will not let the negativity of others steal her thunder.  After all, we are supposed to be ONE Team ~ ONE Dream!

It’s that time again…school supplies are out and minds are shifting back to starting school again.  We don’t officially start back until August 22 so I have a few more weeks to put the final touches on lesson planning and such.
