Sweet Shot Tuesday ~homecoming recap

Well, it’s been almost a week since we had our day on the pier. To say that it was hot would be an understatement! I think I sweated off two pounds during our wait, and that’s not a bad thing, right?

Madison nearly fainted from being in the heat. At that point we still had over an hour to wait, so I loaded her up with food and water and then she perked back up (a little bit) when she saw the ship round the corner.

McKenzie was as happy as a clam in her stroller. She had the shade and all the treats her belly could handle. And looky here, she is sucking on her binky. Something she usually never does at home.

there’s Daddy!!! WooHoo we made it!!! Now we just had to wait the extra hour until the brows were secured so they could get off. I think that was the longest part of all!

4 years and 4 deployments down…come February on to SHORE DUTY!!! Welcome home Lt. we missed you!!!

A little about me

I am, first and foremost, a child of God, constantly pursuing life as He planned for me. Wife to M, and mom to our 5 daughters and 1 baby boy who fill my heart with joy each and every day.

This blog is my attempt to document our busy but BLESSED lives. I wear many hats in our family including chef and taxi. I am also on a journey to finish my court reporting studies.

I love to sing praises to the Savior who gives me strength and blesses me even though I never really deserved it.

Who could ask for anything more…I am a lucky girl.

2nd Annual Not Back-to-School Blog Hop
